HLDalongtime, thanks for your insights and detailed analysis. I too beleive that this is the worst possible timing for handing over the assets we funded. I wonder, though, what will prevent M.T., etc. from continuing to depress the unit price - should we be successful in thwarting this raid - for the next several years until they can accumulate the necessary units and still accomplish their goal?

And the name of that Company is Lanyard Financial Group. "Specialized Investment Banking" Did anyone read that book about Enron it was called "The Smartest Guys in the Room". Reading Ron's impressive profile made me think of that title. I would be surpriised if this bright group had not done some contingency planning. So stay awake NO voters!

If the Assets Grab is unsuccessful then we should be thankful to have been afforded this useful warning and conduct ourselves accordingly. Immediate steps will be neccessary to dissolve the the Current HLD Board and discontinue the contract with Digit as the General Partner. That should remove Michael Thornton at the same time. We should be ready to elect a slate of those Unitholders ...more

And would it help if one of the insiders owned a some kind of Mortgage Finance Company do you think? Ron Erdman does.
