Following up on on the question about favourable risk/reward scenarios with compelling valuations in the energy sector, what are your three favourite energy stocks that fit this description?

Given where oil is trading compared to historical prices, we think the risk/reward is fairly attractive here. In addition, we feel that most oil companies are generating record cash flow with stronger balance sheets than ever. We believe investors that focus on oil companies which are returning capital aggressively to shareholders (through special dividends, buyback or increasing dividends) can do well from these levels. We like names such as IMO, TOU, and HME. (5iResearch)

And a follow up later in the week. GLTA We think WCP and TOU could be complementary names for small-cap energy exposure. We prefer TOU due to its more aggressive capital return policy over the years. TOU is also focused on natural gas, which could make it a good complement to the oil-focused IMO/CNQ.  In addition, for more aggressive investors, we also like HME, the company possesses a ...more
