"Sarasota Memorial Hospital reached 500 COVID-19 deaths Thursday as the impact of the fading delta wave of the pandemic continues to accumulate.

The vast majority – 84% – of the COVID-19 deaths since the end of June were unvaccinated patients, the hospital reported."
