Press Release

Interesting Press Release this AM which, I am sure, was aiimed at bolsterring confidence, calming fears after the meltdown last week.

Basically, just reiterates what was at the AGM, with additional discussion about new CFO.

What I found more telling however, the the following paragraph that Cynthia uses to introduce the release on her Linkedin sight. This is also repeated by Roger on Facebook:

"LAURION Mineral Exploration Inc. (LME) has never been in a better financial position with the strongest balance sheet ever recorded. LAURION's Ishkoday Gold, Silver, Copper and Zinc Project is also in the best position as an acquisition target. LAURION with its shareholder centric mission/vision is generating maximum shareholder value."

To me, this reinforces my belief that a buyout will be soon-they don't have to do more drilling or get more assays, they are already in "best position as an assay target" according to the CEO> She must be telling us this for a reason!

Sorry, meant "acquisition target", not "assay target" in last post.

partner for a potential merger, Has it been said before?? I only recall we are to be aquired for cash. I do not recall Laurion seeking a partner to mine the property.

I take that as just fluff to suggest all things are possible, rather than a serious suggestion. I think that there were certain things relaesed in relation to the AGM that had similar tone.

Given the following paragraph, I don't see how anything appears to be imminent. Our resolve must remain    LAURION believes that these alliances should help the company achieve further exploration and operational milestones, which in LAURION's opinion, may make LAURION a more attractive target or partner for a potential merger, acquisition, significant financing or ...more

You may be right, but as I have written, things are seldom what they seem. You cannot take anything here on face value. I view a statement like that, together with all the stuff about monetarizing the gold, as a strategy aimed at stengthrening their bargaining position with current suitor(s). Better to not appear to be too hungry to make a deal.  I still fel a deal is not far off.

I agree. Nothing in there that would give implication one way or the other. Same as before. Positoned as a great target but not necessarily anything aiming at it.......yet.

I don't think it really matters either way, but I don't love it.   1) It feels a little desperate.  There's nothing new here. 2) The release fails to really highlight that we went from a part time CFO to a full time dedicated CFO.

Hi @Wizzle: you bring up a valid concern. But kindly remember someone(s) swooped up a large amount of shares just before the Thanksgivings weekend... three entities I believe..... the fundemtals are still very solid... it's a time game now.
Comment by matlas on Oct 11, 2022 7:31pm
I presume you mean "game time" HMCanada rather than "time game"? If so, I think we are on same page.
Comment by matlas on Oct 11, 2022 7:42pm
Ignore my previous message. Sorry! I see what you mean by "time game", What I would call "waiting game:,

RE press release on new CFO - Laurion called this out specifically, “His in-depth experience in accounting, financial disclosure and capital markets, particularly as they relate to public companies in the mining industry, should benefit LAURION greatly" It's a good signal they're putting fulltime staff with this kind of experience in the driver seat in additon to more frequently ...more
