I have previously posted that the residence time of the ore contributing to the first gold dore of 350 ounces was about 21 days from ore feed entering the mill , refilling the process circuit and that ore exiting as dore. That is, about 15,000 tons of ore ( 700 tpd x 21 days ) from which, at the average grade of 1.1 gms per ton and 90% recovery, if all went well ,would have generated a first gold dore of about 420 ounces. What was reported was 350 ounces which is not too bad for the first complete circuit At that time, 45,000 tons had begun the process of entering the mill circuit and the PC mill circuit had been full again. So, that would suggest that at 21 days residence up two gold dores had milled and a third perhaps in the leaching circuit while upgrades and tinkering continued ..
xxxxx Since the end of February, over 45,000 tonnes of low-grade stockpile feed has been processed, refilling the completely cleaned and emptied process circuit and recovering over 350 ounces of contained gold in dor from the first pour in the refinery. Re-commissioning has reached the stage where mill crews are focused on improving plant reliability and optimization over the next few months in preparation for feed from Hammerdown.
