At some point....perhaps this week...drilling plans for Murchison will be announced.
It is important to point out that this drilling program will advance with new methods and a new geologic model compared with historical drilling. With substantially more data as input into the new geologic model , we now have several dozens of potentially new open pit discoveries that have never been identified in previous geologic models .
It is this possibility that really excites me.
Why?
Note the high grades of historical open pit discoveries when first mined .....3 gms or so.
At such high grades, these near surface oxides will have very low cash costs and
will be exceptionally profitable .
Further, as most significant open pits have their source lodes at higher grades in the basement rock, we will add more underground mines once surface ore is exhausted.
Its going to be an exciting summer for all of us.
