Once upon a time the National Capital Region was so strong that it was dubbed Silicon Valley North. Woe, Canada! Software company founded in 1981 generating less than $20 million in revenues is now ranked as #15 in Canada. It is not a good statement about the state of affairs in Canada. Dinosaur industries (oil) in trouble, software and such in trouble as well, masked by the success of Shopify ...more

If there is a strategy in place to scoop up cheap shares from information starved shareholders, then the Board is succeeding very well. The only problem is that if each person, led by the CEO, is withholding information that damages shareholders that in frustration for a lack of involvement or information, is in breach of their fiduciary duties. This looks like a cleansing strategy in place.

Based on Bruce's short comments on Deep Dive I think he doesn't have as much pull at Martello as we think. Maybe I'm wrong but I don't think he snaps his fingers there like he did at Canopy and things get done. I think he is relaying comments but for whatever reason they aren't repsonding to his satisfaction, if at all. Just my opinion.  The guy passed up a great ...more

Fundamental on this board sounds like a real techy. Linton sounds like us...remote working requires good videoconferencing connectivity, MTLO is sort of there, so sounds like a winning formula in this environment. But why isnt it? Those that benefited from Covid have stellar results. We don't. We may have a better mousetrap, for places where there aren't many mice?

FYI I had a Teams Video Call at work today that was province wide in Ontario and no one had volume and it turns out it was a problem on the presenters end. Martello are you listening?!??!
