I asked CK why not just buy the mill outright? His answer

While it is potentially possible to buy the mill or the Company outright, moving it would not accomplish our goals. Much of the benefit of utilizing Pine Cove would be the brown field site it is located on which is fully permitted and includes tailings capacity. Using an existing site may result in a far shorter timeline to permitting, and certainly a faster start up time if a permit is received. Rest assured, we have a dedicated team working on this and I am certain we will arrive at the most beneficial path forward.

Of course. Duh. Throw in too the Nugget Pond Mill, plus 95,000 ounces of high grade low cost HammerDown production per year during during the interim 3 years needed to get Keats producing, add 50,000 ounces from MAE's local deposits once Keats is producing and consolidate mining operations in NL by the Hub and Spoke model. Afterall, NFG has largely funded Maritime's acquisition of Point ...more

Well of course, dah, nozzoack, it means that NFG is years away from filling the coffers with money. Their current funding, with their normal burn rate and actually larger expenditures coming if they want to drill deep targets, won't last very long.  Deep holes cost a fortune to drill. I don't know why you think you can impress people with your fancy presentations when you know very ...more

Basically , Colin just said that they will acquire MAE. They have to. Do you really think that MAE will forego hundreds of millions in their own gold production revenues just to toll NFG ore ? HD is one of the highest grade open pit deposits in the world , very low cash costs , with strong exploration upside. Further, Bellevue Gold, a $1.7 billion company has its Pointer Dog already in ...more

I don't think you should put words into Mr. Kettell's mouth.  We don't know what the ultimate plan is. For starters, if they truck ore for processing, that is an experiment, first and foremost, to see how it works out, and nothing more.  After that happens and the numbers are presented, then the company may tell us what their plan is.   EK

Maybe CK should read the discussion here. There is no shortage of ideas as to how NFG should move ahead. Ideas run the gamut from the wacky to the interesting and just maybe there is something of value in some of them. Keep tossing out those ideas. Brain storming is good. Every organization I've been involved with did it.
