Extending the old Caesars NPV calc from 2019 for today's price... NPV8 at $4.50 copper using the historical work is $4.2b USD. With exploration upside, and 3D IP confirming the deposit is much bigger this has alot of upside. The real question will be what % will a major pay.

I would think 12 - 18 months.  Two years until sale was a few months ago.  Hopefully we are staying on track here.

Why wait that long for buyout?  Isn't it better cheaper for majors to buy out early?

It's probably too risky for a major before drills have hit the ground and an updated feasibility study is done. Sure they pay more but it isn't the CEO's money. If he/she takes a chance and it turns out to surprise on the downside that's looming unemployment from a cushy gig.
