Drilling casing analysis

The well is bored at decreasing circumference going deeper and sections of pipe are fitted in 40-45 ft sections until that level's circumference is complete...analysis goes on all the time as long as material comes up and is done simultaneously however the casing is obviously done done at same exact time as drilling but in between ..at the end when the bit pops out in the next hemisphere you will hear our anthem.. https://youtu.be/XfR9iY5y94s

Are you a land guy?  This is deep water and they drill with triples so double your stand height.  This is a million dollar a day operation.  They are using logging at the bit in addition to LWD likely 50-100ft behind the bit.  Yes they are getting cuttings samples but that's low tech and quite a long time before they are circulated to surface.  Those downhole tools ...more

HI Shedrill, In his poem dragonfly454 was referring to casing joints, not to DP stands, therefore 40-45ft is ok. It's just one of his poems/riddles, nothing more. GLTA,
