What do u call

What do u call the Supermarket plastic Thanksgiving display fake stuffed bird? Answer: Dud Turkee Oyler if you laugh u going to hell..even if u get the joke when I get the midnight position report from Maersk Discoverer. Continue reading... Serious now: Characteristics of the Canje Formation: Gross Thickness: up to 550m. TOC: 4-7% in shelf break setting, up to 30% in deepwater setting. Type SR: Marine Type II. Maturity: Maturity model shows the onset of maturity as early as 40 Ma in the east, to 45Ma in the west. Migration distance: mainly SSE through Cretaceous and Early Tertiary channels. Migration distance: has distance up to 100-150km (note: the distance from onshore Tambaredjo Oil Field to offshore kitchen). So we sit in zone of about 4-7% of the Source rock .. Maturity occured 45MYA the Eocene Paleocene slump happened at least a 10 Mys before so all those thermal events we adequate to thermally crack it directly below Kawa ..so here we are tying back as we travel through space and time into the past with old ideas..my next investment will hopefully be into the future of energy ..... The "mainly S-SE" migration is being challenged by Kawa .. Dirk see your profile pic there what we wonder about is if there is a difference in composition and compaction in the proximal fans on the slope in the S-SW ..i.e west of the Corentyne River as compared to those to East in Suriname ..well as I said Drill village Mahaicony Demerara well proved migration but it seems the real challenge is to find the pockets along the migration pathway through the few faults and pinch-outs to really understand the subtle differences between the migration path..But I think Ms.Budlong has picked up on the quarter turn rotation at that point and latched on to the ox-bow on the channel as it heads NW towards Pluma ...we will call that subtle twist the qwerk in honor of Oyler and his hobbies ..

Yes my profile pic is figure#4 from a study done by Yallup and Scotchman of Halliburton that I've posted about 4 times now. Forget about Oyler. He's "Jale bolas" as they say in Spanish slang here.I've read Yallup and Scotchman's study on the Canje source kitchen thouroughly. The main take aways: 1) The rate of heat flow was low enough to allow for the slow cooking of ...more

Hi ljmorin, No particular thoughts on the "What do u call" thread, my knowledge of geology is limited. I will have some thoughts on drilling matters in a moment. GLTA,

OH i guarantee that there is pressure man,  and lots of it,   this will make for a fantastic test flow when the time comes.THIS is also why that FEC and CGX`s timing was perfect, the last apche well was called on acount of to much high pressure.THIS was obviously taken in to account (REFRESHED IN MEMORY) by Mr. De Alba  when planning for the well this time.      & ...more

Yeah I was wondering about a possible DST. They'd want to set the upper packer in casing or liner to get a good seat. So will they run liner just above Santonian? Also they'd want to test for a few days. Flow it on various chokes for a few days each then shut it in for a while to record the build pressure. I've been on testing programs that took 2 weeks.

I thought that you and Goldy made a killing on GUG. Oops, not supposed to talk about other stocks here. I'm still googling trying to understand what Dfly just wrote. So far I got: if the Maastrichtian extends and is on trend with Apache's discoveries as he suspects then seismic interpretation becomes a piece of cake.So if that's true then why wouldn't the next well be an appraisal ...more

Nah Dirk u missed it ..it's trajectory ..using B58 Maka-Central as the starting point and fanning out the further you go from Maka-Central the shallower the deposit would be as it fills the pockets and spills upward Keskesi is deep in the Aptian going west along the shelf the wells get shallower to the deposits ..it seems so following that trend Kawa's presumed deposits are right where ...more

Let me punctuate.. Nah Dirk u missed it ! ..it's trajectory ..using B58 Maka-Central as the starting point and fanning out.. the further west you go from Maka-Central the shallower the deposit would be as it fills the pockets and spills upward.(Ms.Budlong's artwork) For Keskesi further east ..that one is deep in the Aptian going south and east...but going west along the shelf the wells get ...more

My head is spinning. We got Demerera rise to the east. To the west we have another rise that I forget the name of. In between we got the Guyana Basin. Right so far? If yes then from the bottom of the basin it's updip on both sides. I thought that Kawa was on the western updip near the mouth of what was once the Berbice River 80 miilion or so years ago. Wow man. Time for a good shot of Demerera ...more
