For CGX drilling team

Gents,

I have no idea what you are doing right now, but just saying:

Your neighbors from across the border solved the losses below the 11-7/8" (i.e. your 11-3/4") with a cement squeeze using a stinger (if your nozzle sizes allow it, cement through the BHA, it will cost you less to pay for potential MWD damage than for a trip around). This should allow you to bring your losses to an acceptable level while keeping your upper zone with higher pore pressure in check and then run your 9-5/8".

Apologies for sticking my nose into your operations but XMas is around the corner.

Thanks for your attention,

And GLTA for the shareholders,

Could anyone with a stocktwits account put this information also on that board if possible? Just to increase the chances that someone at CGX reads it... Thanks,

OCM you can email it to info@cgxenergy.com.... doubt they will read it though since they never reply. Additionally it can be sent to ir@frontera.com I will send it

Good send it! I'm sure that Mr. Lacy would be happy to know that he could permanently stick a cesium radioactive source in the hole doing this insanity.

Hi Dirk, Thanks for your comments regarding cementing through BHA. I understand that what you haven't done before may look like "insanity" to you but it is actually something that is done every now and then. No offencce, we all have several things we have never done in our careers, the job is just too diverse. Here below I send come extracts from Spread on the subject, you're ...more

Ok in 40 years in the oil patch I've never, ever seen cement pumped through a BHA. Live and learn.

OCM- I wouldn't doubt their operational competency...if anything they have too many chiefs and they are over thinking every decision, erring on the side of caution.  As you know all the services are leveraging their pool of regional experience across multiple wells and clients and guiding the CGX & Frontera on Kawa 1 as best as they can. I spent a few years on Chevrons drilling ...more

HI SheDrills, I don't doubt their competencey but I just wanted them to know what the neighbors have done to go through these same zones on the very same layers. Crossing fingers for a good week-end for the rig team. GLTA,

How ya gonna run a balanced cement plug to stop losses if you're not open ended with a stinger in the hole? Ya can't do it thru a BHA.Sp dropped 7 cents today. You and shedrills just told the world that they're having losses in the production zone and have to cement the production zone off. The only way thst you can have losses in the production zone is if there is little pore pressure ...more

Dirk... That's not what we said at all I don't appreciate all the bullshite you drop on this board. Ive been saying for weeks that I thought they would set a liner somewhere in this last section. The well design layed out in the technical updates indicated that w/out a contingent liner that all 3 targets would be open.  The moment I saw that I started saying that I was expecting to ...more

Says the lwd engineer who they send off the rig when lwd is busiest while the rig is running casing. How would I know that? Because their two shacks were right next to mine on the apron that was an extention of the drill floor. I had one shack. They had two. Maybe shedrills can explain why they had two. Now she's some sort of Chevron efficiency expert. No folks I'm not into gotcha stuff ...more

Dirk, are you living in a cave?  The market got hammered today, CGX is not immune to market conditions.  I'd hardly think the 150 people on this board constitutes the world.  EIther they hit or not, it's all or nothing. We're All In now.  Been in this for too long to let someone with no intimate knowledge of what is going on sway me from keeping my shares.  ...more

Oil is down all across the board Dickk, I mean Dirk. and about the % we are. Has nothing to do with two of problably the most experienced and respected posters on this board. Lay of of them most of us want their input certainly more than we want to hear yours.

Folks, I have been trying to help people here for 3 months without entering into unnecessary discussions but unfortunately I must make an exception, apologies. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Dirk, I had given you, after your unnecessary comments, the opportunity of an "honorable exit" in my last post but you seem unable to understand it ...more

Ok now we have it. No you cannot run a balanced plug through a BHA. Too many restrictions to calculate balance. At what depth did Apache run a balanced cement plug and why? Specify! You want to say critical stuff like that then specify! And no, I am not drunk. I rarely drink.
