Tight Hole

I just can't believe how tight this hole is. I totally expected some sort of leak by now.
In a way I think that bad news would likely travel a little quicker than good news in some ways.

I mean I believe these crews shift change every 28 days or so and nobody has slipped up. I find that hard to believe.

It certainly wasn't that way on previous drills and would have thought they would be considered tight as well. Mind you with the very loose management we had previously any leaks problably came from them D heads.

What are examples of news leaking on other junior stocks? I keep asking this and don't get examples that prove this would be a discernible effect.   It irks me as I believe this obsession about results leaking is creating more FUD stress than just waiting for the results. And again unless a reliable signal could have been spotted in other stocks, it seems like it's not a useful ...more

It has happened on every other hole that CGX has drilled. The problem is that any leak is not reliable so I don't think you can really plan to trade on it. You just can see it in hindsight once the NR comes out. You look at the pile of shares that traded two or three days before the NR finally comes out and you know that there was a leak. So it is not really a useful exercise. But nothing is ...more

It was pretty usefull to me on Jag as I got a fair bit out before they shut it down. I concede it's likely very rare that you have someone that close to the action however.

That would be useful, but would also be considered inside trading no?

He could hae been lieing to me, And he wasn't a director of the company. I only knew for sure he was legit after what he said turned out to be correct. I'm not even sure that those wells were deemed tight holes.

I'm trying to think back over the past few years regarding the 25+ wells that have been drilled since Liza. Have there been any leaks on any of them? Seems like the first we hear of results is when they publish news releases, no?

A better test case would be ECO Atlantic and Westmount as they got close to TD on their wells in Canje. Exploration Speculation isn't meaningful in companies with large market caps, a single discovery doesn't move the needle.

Don't have to be an executive member of a Company to get done for insider trading, as the definition of an insider in most jurisdictions includes employees of publicly traded companies.

Insider trading? If they are, they don't have much money...the stock volume doesn't allow for anything beyond penny flipping for a couple hundred bucks a day. People who have real money invested here are in it until PR...it's too thin to get out.

Cont.  Some jurisdictions, like the US, prosecuting third-parties for insider trading.  https://www.dlapiper.com/~/media/files/insights/publications/2019/07/srd_insider-trading_07-16-19_final_locked.pdf

I had a guy on the Jaguar drill giviing me almost daily updates that were 100 % accurate. I knew exactly when they started having HP issues. How's that for an example. He was part of this board and we messaged back and forth, He even gave me updates on his out days.
