Yes I too am waiting for Dfly's analysis. He was asked a couple of weeks ago what he thought the chances were of a hit. He responded 100%.OK Dfly this is what I'm imagining: They're drilling away and lwd shows spike in hydrocarbons in a sand stringer maybe 5 feet thick. They run MDT on it collecting fluid samples, pressure, permeability etc and continue drilling hitting another ...more

Yes Dirk, what you're imagining is entirely feasible and you're also correct in your supposition that the resolution wouldn't be good enough. The frequency content of the seismic at that depth would be to low to be able to discern multiple intervals of 5 foot thick sands. Dfly can elaborate if he shows up and has the inclination to.

Maybe Dfly flew off with the sp. Dragonfly doji is a indicator used by traders and analysts signalling pending sp reversal, in the case of oyl from bearish to bullish. He did a great job of talking the stock up and some say distraction. But from what? He talked geology and operations.Yes I read a bit about seismic inversion.
