The bottom line:  What's changed is that QPT: TSX-V now owns directly (once shares of "OQP" are distributed to OncoQuest shareholders) assets, in the form of a number of shares of OncoQuest Pharmaceeutical Inc, a Korean biopharmaceutical company (OQP) instead of ~45% of the formerly private company, OncoQuest Inc. I guess at some point, QPT shareholders will be told the exact ...more

Great summary, Koreans private Corp spinoff only ones gonna make any cash here. This will drop quick once shareholders catch on, way to complicated for amateur investors

One month delay on Dec 31st $ and 6 month extension on balance, which can close sooner and likely will. SP drop probably as agreed shareholders left trying to figure out what the value is on a per share basis. Put option ?, 1st installment 62M$ paying the tab for transaction and tax. Shareholders just want to cash out based on the transaction as there's no additional asset worth anything in ...more

To date, volume suggests that not many holders are running for the hills yet. OncoQuest will have money or at least equity from OQP which means that if the assets are not liquidated and and Phase III is a commercial success it should see some returns in valuation from OQP, no? And its one of the four "Technology/equity investment" ..Also looking at the BOD it does not strike me that ...more

https://www.reuters.com/companies/078590.KQ https://www.reuters.com/companies/QPT.V Are we in the wrong stock? Is OQP really paying QPT? Almost feel like its the other way around :) -jokes aside: RE: Net from 300M/185M shares assume something like $1 per share.  One thing that is a puzzle is if everyone is getting $1/share roughly (or even a little less), why would anyone sell ...more

Who wants to wait 3-4 years for possible clinical success nevermind commercial success. The value to QPT shareholders will depend entirely on the SP of OCQ. I would want out as soon as possible. The EGF thing is worth what they paid for it which is nothing. Preclinical asset at best. Not interested thanks. Agreed mgt has done nothing to promote this stock value and story. There was talk of a ...more

You have a point on the wait time but why would a corporation buy an asset for 300M if they did not think they can monetize it? Granted EGF is nebulous but is that not what QPT is in the business of (i.e. developping compound to a treatment modality). How are you arriving at 0.05 to 0.10 cents on the dividend payment?

Co. did not say in the latest NR: June 4/20 - Once the costs of the transaction and applicable taxes are paid by OncoQuest from bond redemptions, it is anticipated that the remaining cash and share consideration will be distributed to OncoQuest shareholders, including Quest which owns approximately 40% of the OncoQuest shares on a fully diluted basis.
