... a fee offers come out this morning at $0.025/share and somebody comes in to buy them.

I like the volume! Let’s hope the momentum picks up heading into the weekend and Monday’s AG&S meeting.

So I guess the fact that we didn't get a proxy to vote on a ( up to) 25:1 consolidation means that there will be no announcement of a deal at this AGM. Anyone?

... the proxy is on Sedar so the vote on the “up to 25:1 consolidation” will happen. Just because this vote will happen doesn’t mean there isn’t a deal in the works. Also notice that a big bid just came in at $0.025/share. Game on???? Getting exciting! Don’t listen to me though. I am a novice investor. ShellsRFun69

I just recieved my Voting Instruction Form "VIF" for June 4 meeting in the mail this morning. The company's management recommends that Shareholders vote in favour of the Consolidation.

The stock has to be halted before an announcement. Wait for the halt, then you'll know.

... the shares actually do not have to be halted for a news announcement to be made. In the USA, companies rately request a halt prior to releasing news. In Canada for some reason, companies will often request a halt pending an announcement. I think it is unfortunate and risky for companies to dovthis because they run the risk the exhchange doesn’t approve their announcement and the shares remain ...more

When a deal is announced, the shares must be halted before so that all shareholders are able to equally assess the information. The only way to not halt is if the announcement comes when the market is closed, which is effectively the same thing. What happens in the U.S. is irrelevant.
