RYU Forward

RYU is coming to Melrose Place and San Diego soon. They are also exploring Miami, Boston, Chicago and Austin. Further to that are global aspirations to be represented in Japan, China and S Korea for example. I believe this will turn to fruition in due time. Currently the focus in on the customer experience, e-commerce and growing their social media presence. A lot of investment was made over the past 5 years, ex. research and development, product coming to market, retail operations and supply chain and this all backed up by year over year revenue increases. Now it’s time to execute and keep building their award winning culture. Keep in mind over the past five years, RYU Apparel grew its revenue at 41% per year on average which is well above most other pre-profit companies. This currently is a penny stock, I’m not pumping it, I’m simply pointing out the very promising potential of this brand. Always do your own due diligence, but in my opinion with a little more patience though, RYU in the end will be very rewarding. No pain, no gain.

Good to see volume for sure. Have they announced any of those new stores officially? 41% growth year over year probably isn't a great figure to most knowledgable investors as they went from 1 store to 3 stores to 7 stores in those three years. By my math that means their sales for the existing stores went down no? Especially considering their e-sales increased by 30%. Would love to hear some ...more

I can confirm the two stores will be opening, with Melrose up first. I'm waiitng on news too. I recently noticed that Instagram followers have increased and their FB and Instagram videos are now feeding into their YouTube channel.

Please review kit and ace to see where i believe RYU is headed. They followed this same type of brick and mortar expansion strategy, burned all their cash, then had to close all but a handful of stores. I am afraid RYU is following in their footsteps. RYU is currently just burning cash and diluting shares further in order to raise more cash... im not sure how much longer they can keep this up ...more

We are not the same company and maybe you should keep your negative sentiment to yourself.  We investors here are hit children and don’t need your warnings.  Thanks but no thanks.

Read the fine print buddy, we’ve been in business longer, I believe our funding strategy is different and we are not expanding rapidly brick and mortar style international and abroad yet.  As well as I don’t believe we are having operation inefficiency’s like they had.  So yea whatever buddy.

hahahaha easy buddy. It's a public forum he can say whatever he wants. And if you don't think "we're" following the same model then you're out to lunch. You know what they did have though? An even bigger backing by a real success story.

Chime at one time you were very excited about this brand and then you turned. I'm not here to say your feelings were or weren't justified, I'm sincerely curious to knwo where you lost faith? Let me know.

I still do think it has potential! It's a great product and great brand. To be honest though guys that get mad at people for making comparison's to kit and ace, which I happen to feel is a reasonable one to make, are just so obviously employees of the company or huge stake holders trying to make everything seem amazing when it's not. There's tons of potential but the company is ...more

Thank you for your explanation. Was it your undertanding that RYU was supposed to have 29 stores by 2022? If so, they have dialed that back I believe.
Comment by athleticsguy on Sep 20, 2019 8:27pm
If they have a seemingly limitless source of funding or if the plan is to never turn a profit (ala Uber) then sure, they should open as many stores as possible.  Please feel free to call me old fashioned or a dinosaur but I'm trying to figure out when RYU will become profitable and self sustainable.  "Hopefully" the next quarterly release shows a significant increase in ...more
