Question re triple point ave. Cost on td accounts??

hi all. I have,a,question. My accounts at td cite an ave. Cost of $9.81 for tp shares and a corresponding huge loss,as current price is listed as zero. Has anyone had this explained to them by td? There was no capital cost for these shares.
