Colombian Juniors Galaway Resources (GWY) and Calvista Gold (CVZ) announced acquisition offers by Eike Batista's AUX (purchaser of Ventana Gold in 2011) on Friday. Both deals were announced at substantial premiums to Thursday's close. GWY is last @ 2.16 +36% and CVZ last @ 1.07 +57%.

I have owned GWY for years and buying more. I also own SFF anf Batero but these two might as well be in Siberia as far as AUX and Eike are concerned.  Batista's need to aquire GWY has little to do with ounces and everything got do with LOCATION. SFF and BAT might be aquired by Anglo Ashanti or Gran Columbia but AUX, forget it

yes that could be an option, but also a combination of both companies in quinchia could be a big advantage, but i do not think that seafield would do that now, because they are right before starting a new drill programm in january in the high grade veins at miraflores, also the new project, called tessorito seem to be interresting

@oakarbor what do you think about the ounces comparing the NI reports of galway and seafield?
Comment by oakarbor on Oct 22, 2012 9:33am
there are many quality properties out there. Too many to choose from even. So again the primary focus for majors will be to add ounces continguous to existng resources. Clearly SFF and BAT fall into this catagory, nestled right between to big players. Clearly SFF especially looks good.
