Theralase Technologies Inc. > How can a CEOs wife be on the board of directors?

How can a CEOs wife be on the board of directors?

It's just insane. I don't mean legally, but conflict of interest out the wa zoo. How can someone objectively act as a BOD member if their husband is the CEO? Like the BODs duty is to do what is best for the company. Surely going with an ex CEO again who is now having difficulty raising money is not the right play? If there was a CEO who could raise money and execute we d be looking at full enrollment and probably a second cancer study by now. Gee I wonder how enrollment is going, they up to 80 patients yet?

Corporate governance has never been a strong suit of this company. CEO allowed to return after regulatory scrutiny. Some Board members not remotely qualified, nepotism, excessive compensation.

I would agree on the governance failings. I would go further and suggest for a huge numbers of corporations, governance is terrible. BOD members not really supervising so much as adopting CEO position. That is one reason why CEO pay is so unconnected to performance for many companies. Crowdstrike ceo will be paid 50million this year. TLT definitely has governance issues. Even when RDW not running ...more

You hit the nail on the head when you said RDW was running things when not there. There in lies a problem which is reflective of how the US Presidency has been the past four years with Obama pulling the strings.

No one on this board is interested in your political views. Stay on topic or you will be reported and/or ignored.

I think they said new treated patients will start when vacation is over. Maybe there are other areas to be reported upon coming up. Hope so.

Whose pulling your strings? Fox fiction? Maybe some guy in his parents basement doing a podcast?
Comment by skyhawk1 on Jul 25, 2024 6:38pm
You sure got that right!!
Comment by Infinity on Jul 25, 2024 11:34am
It is a shame, after all these years, there has been no consistant or independant oversight from the BOD.   The BOD is in name only, regretfully, we stull remain a Mom and Pop show even after going public!!.  All the more reason that we will have difficulty selling the PP 2nd Tranche at $0.22 and a warrant with questionable history in converting.  Most warrants,so far have ...more
