All good things come to those

That wait . It's been an insanely long wait . Yahoofinance shows instutional ownership at 0.18% .as far as I know this is the first time ever . Is this important? I very much believe so .

Just for clarity for those that may be new, Greendaze is not or should not be saying that there was no insider ownership before. Those interested in insider ownership should look at the information on SEDI , the authoritative original source of this information.

Correction.  Institutional not insider that I was referring to.  But when many retail investors are holding a larger position than an institution, one can only hope that the institutional buying has only begun to make it significant.

Being blinded by contempt is a dangerous thing but it's only dangerous to one's self . Get a grip before you hurt yourself.

No worries.  Keeping on top of facts is never a bad thing when investing.  Especially on things offered by those that think they are better than everyone else.  Thanks for your concern.

There is a vast difference between institutional investment and retail investment . Institutions have the kind of information that is not available to retail investors . The size of their investments as opposed to retailers is irrelevant . We retail investors do not have to justify our investments. Institutional investors do . That's why I'm excited about it . This development should not ...more

There is a vast difference between different institutional investments just like there are between diferrent retail investors. Many institutions have policies and criteria that would not be able to invest in microcaps.  I am not necessarily ridiculing a 300,000ish share investment by an "institution", just not seeing it as significant as you do.  That's the short answer to ...more

A milestone has been met . One , that most good stocks have in abundance ( Instutitual ownership ). It's another metric that we can follow . I wonder how much they are going to add or subtract. And it's the only newish thing we've gotten for awhile . The best thing to come of this so far is to find a book of interest . The Big fish in a small pond .

Can anyone name another penny stock with institutional ownership . I haven't looked very extensively. There should be others . Does anyone here own one ?
Comment by Mostlyserious on May 04, 2024 10:32pm
A number of years ago Thermal raised some financing with some institutional investors.  I believe one had over 20 million shares but in the end they dumped all of it on the open market.  Those that knew the stock was dropping because of this got a steal of a deal.  I believe some insiders did.  There was no halt or explanation for the unusual market action. What we could ...more

Not really a penny stock but it's a good one . At 36 + % institutional ownership . Definitely on my watch list . Thanks .
Comment by Mostlyserious on May 05, 2024 1:38pm
It is definitely a microcap and with that proportion of institutional holding, it may discourage some retail investment.   May be worthwhile looking at as a long term buy and hold.

Market cap is very similar to Thermal Energy Intl - 6 million dollars more . Many people consider penny stocks to be $5 and under. And when I first invested it was under a dollar.

I've thought of penny stocks being under a dollar . It seems the category has moved to under five dollars . Microcap .
