They are the king of the outdated DirectX 9 compatibility layer sandcastle! There are multiple ways to port games between platforms, each with their own advantages and disadvantages. A compatibility layer can be much faster because it doesn't require changes to the original game code, but only if the compatibility layer already supports all the features required by the game.
