Te first three rules of investing: DO NOT average down DO NOT average down DO NOT average down
Comment by CaptainE on May 23, 2024 10:05pm
Did you just write that rule? Of alllllll the investing books I've read, and the successful investors Ive met, I've never encountered those three rules let alone one of them. Here's one I like... "buy when others are fearful". Ignore the noise folks. Do your research and stick to your plan. And lastly: do what you want with your money.

One key element missing. Why did you buy in the first place? If you like the stock as much now as you did when you paid more than you aught to have, averaging down is a given. The caution comes into the technicals of where you average down. when $1.50 broke this became a penny stock once more as we are witnessing today. An entire blowout is in the works as we speak and yes we will be buying the ...more

I was one of the people  that converted most of my TUD over to TUO and some AMK over the past 1.5 years. The overhang on TUD carrying 100% of costs just became so obvious.  But that aside, even if one liked TUD as much today as a few years ago, you still have to factor in diultion that has ALREADY occured.  Only accounts for a portion of drop in share price but other things like ...more

The only ones who did NOT buy this higher were those who got in first half of 2019 and or earlier!!!!   Those are the same people who did NOT SELL at $4.75!!!!! The TudHeads have been averaging down for 4+ years now at prices that are a multiple of the current 72 cents!  Were those who held off on averaging down last 4 years right?  No doubt they are in a much better position ...more

"Listen, averaging down sometimes has a role at the right time and for the righ reasons.  I suspect TUD might possibly be in that wheelhouse now................but the lack of $$$$$$ remains a grave concern.  Deals gotta happen.  Maybe better buying it when the floor is set by that??????  Or buy the deal and get the warrant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TUD is down 20% in a the few ...more

Good point Larry60...averaging down in TUD has certainly not worked to date.  The big issue right now is that TUD needs money for this year's program. Will ES step up again?
Comment by Larry60 on May 24, 2024 12:33pm
I believe ES will step up...........70 cent unit (warrant at $1)  with gold at $2,350!!!  How could he not??? Uncle Eric cant go into market and buy TUO like we can.  Or even TUD for that matter.  Only additional exposure he can get to TC is through TUD financings imho..............it has saved TUD to date!
