Toyota new engine that will destroy EVs

Car performs electrolyis on water input, producing hydrigen and oxygen. Then runs on hydrogen. Won't eletrolyiss use more energy than produced from the hyrodgen? Is there a credible source for it working, such as Toyota itself?. This reminds me of the joke meme of someone plugging tinto the in car power outlet ("cigarete lighter") of an EV, and connecting it into the vehcile's ...more

Dear Bob, It is the stun gun princpal.  Two AA battery is all the power that it has.  They are using the Stan Meyers electrolyis cell.  Most electrolyis is done with amps.  The more amps the more hydrogen.  Meyers turned that on it's head by using high voltage and high frequency to do electrolyis.  Bob, if you try to do a loop then it does not work.  It would ...more

With enough battery power, it can be done. Use a big rechargeable battery, which makes it an EV: electricity recharges battery which performs eletroysis to proiduce hydrigen.  May not use (much rare earths), but it's not a car powered only by water. I'm not saying EVs will reign supreme. Fuel cell or hydogren internal combusion engines might make it to prime time. EVs might be ...more

First, this was missed in the description of the video. Disclaimer: Our content is based on facts, rumors, and fiction. Second, this is what Wikipedia has to say about Stanley Meyer. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stanley_Meyer's_water_fuel_cell Third, this press release from Sibanye-Stillwater and Heraeus Precious Metals is more important to the hydrogen economy. Heraeus and Sibanye ...more

Thanks for posting this. Didn't see any of that, or disclaimer, but have enough scientific ability to see how ludicrous it was. Dragon's more easily takem in, and purports to accept everything Ucore says at face value. "Our content is based on facts, rumors, and fiction." That's quite a discliamer. "Fiction" is really bad. Bur even "rumors' is bad. I ...more
