News!

We interrupt the asylum's broadcast to provide you with the NR noted below.  I've mentioned this before, but the message bears repeating: the numbers indicate that the company turned the corner about 2 years ago.  Revenue is growing nicely and earnings have stabilized in positive territory.  In Q4 results, we might get a glimpse of the burglar alarm acquisition's impact on the bottom line (possibly obscured by some one time synergy-related expenses), but Q1 should tell a clearer story.  In the meantime, we've had lots of positive news releases to warm up our winter.

UNITED PROTECTION SECURITY GROUP INC. - CORPORATE UPDATE
United Protection Security Group Inc. has provided the following updates:
 
  1. The company has been awarded a new contract in Fox Creek, Alta., commencing mid-May, 2013. The annual contract value is approximately $700,000.
  2. The company announces that Greg Kurtz and Andrea John have both been appointed co-vice-presidents, electronic smart site security. This position was previously held by Ray Wilderman.
  3. The company announces the opening of a branch office in San Diego, Calif. This branch office will focus on residential and commercial burglar alarm monitoring. The company's Ontario-based ULC-listed alarm monitoring station will monitor all United States-based clients.
