An opinion only

My concern has always been the method in which WHN is going about their drilling. Yes elephant hunting can be great for shareholders if the elephant is actually there and they find it. Immediately after the awesome hole 212 Gareth decided he wanted to fence drill on 50 meter centers towards the Lear zone. Why not stay on vein one on the FMN and try to develop a model for the vein. There is no doubt that this elephant hunt is not great for the SP. Most Companies with a discovery hole such as 212 would concentrate their efforts and test the vein from many angles and elevations. This is why i believe it has taken ten years to get this far.

These guys are not on a elephant hunt. They are slowly building a resource that can be sold off to a major. It takes time.  But it can be a great payout.
Comment by MuttleyKnows on Jun 27, 2022 10:00pm
Erin is correct.  The nature of this resource requires a lot of time, effort and drilling to build up the ounces.  Likely they are heading to at least 2 million ounces by year end which is a pretty impressive number. The elephant nature of this play is that the company seems to have a huge district size area to keep adding even more ounces.  Just look at the news release today ...more

You posted the same thing on stockhouse. I have much more skin in this game. And I have experienced precious metal cycles like we are in right now before. My advice. Believe in the capabilities of this crew to deliver. They all have high insider ownership. It's a very volatile market. I still believe that precious metals will be resurgent at some point in the next year or two. WHN is well ...more

With all due respect Erin I have been investing in Junior Golds since the early eighties. So I have seen many ups and downs. During these years I have had some huge wins but I have also had some huge losses. You may not like my questions on this board but I have learned over the years never to put the rose colored glasses on. I have always been respectful of the team at Westhaven as they are ...more

I'm wondering where the 2 holes that they winged down next to the 37.5g/t are? They stated that they look the same? Was it gravel? On the website they are still "pending" but we've seen the last holes reported around ~30 holes later. I really want to know what the deal is on those, primarily because they extolled the virtues of them and have gone into hiding. Are they holding ...more

I am pretty sure they would release the results if they were reportable. And any high grade intercept is reportable. When it shows as "pending" its best to assume that its still in the lab.
Comment by trader53 on Jul 05, 2022 1:39pm
They reported on the results of 21 holes and three of them were reported. Yes the drilling costs are less because of location but when it takes 23 holes to find grade in 3 its expensive exploration. Of course there are holes pending but these holes are not included in the 21 holes released.
Comment by Truthonly33 on Jul 05, 2022 2:24pm
There was only 1 hole that contained no significant result. ONLY 1! The rest all contained some grade, even if in the low range. There are also 11 assays PENDING. I believe your opinions are a little negative considering the facts, what are you trying to achieve here?  Hole_ID Zone From (m) To (m) Int (m) Au (g/t) Ag (g/t)  ...more

I am sharing my thoughts on what I see as a puzzle. These thoughts all come from being in this market since the early eighties. How you arrive at the conclusion I am negative makes me shake my head. I have a full position and have on numerous occassions stated I love the project. I have also spoke highly of the team eventhough I donot agree how they are going about the exploration. Does that mean ...more

That's fine. But perhaps this isn't the right sort of investment for you. Honestly, exploration is complex business and this is a good team. The project is not heavily promoted. I'm not interested in marketing. I'm interested in a team that has experience and can prove up a viable resource.
Comment by trader53 on Jul 05, 2022 6:53pm
Why are you so confrontational Erin is it because you are upside down in your position? To suggest you know what is the right sort of investment or the wrong sort of investment for me suggests to me your position is underwater. Now for you to say that you are not interested in marketing or promotion its obvious to me you really donot understand the micro market. I donot want to argue we are both ...more

To be honest I think you both have made your points.  We can all agree that this project looks like it has enough to become a viable mine.   However, I think Trader does make a valid point.  It would really suck to raise money in this kind of market.  Luckily, the company is funded for now.  This will change heading into the end of the year and we need to plan for ...more

I think you are shorting this stock and will soon cover. I expect at such time you will put your rose tinted glasses back on. Good luck.
Comment by trader53 on Jul 06, 2022 10:29am
Only a fool would short this stock Erin at these levels and for you to think I am a shorting WHN is ludicrous. The risk reward profile on shorting WHN is non existent. Enough said think what you like I am not going to argue with you. GLTY
Comment by ErinBrockovich on Jul 06, 2022 5:20pm
My apologies for calling you out on this. The macro situation is complicated. The fed, as you are well aware, is raising rates and this is hurting precious metals to fight inflation. Ultimately, the fed will be forced to let inflation run hot. Bringing up possible negatives in regards to WHN seems opportunistic to me. Like kicking a dog when it's already down. There are people who have shorted ...more

I get it Erin and yes it is frustrating for all of us as well as the WHN team. As I said in an earlier post I am confident that going into 2023 we will have a resource of 2,000,000 ounces but I am not confident how that will be valued. Using history to determine values worked quite well in the past however we are at a place where we have never been before. All one has to do is look at the sector ...more

I am more optimistic. I think they will hit relatively well on some of the less explored areas. And I think they will prove up well beyond 2 million ounces. This is why I am invested. Spence's bridge is a huge area. And relatively unexplored.
Comment by trader53 on Jul 10, 2022 1:30pm
Oh don't get me wrong Erin i tend to side with Grens belief that the belt could host a multi million ounce resource. My 2,000,000 ounce estimate is short term and I do believe that once you cross that 2,000,000 ounce resource the majors really start to take notice. If this market does not change and the sentiment stays in tank I am not sure the market will recognise the value and the share ...more

This is not a good time to sell. Wait until the recession is over. And we are in recovery. Expect WHN to be in better shape then. Think late 2022 early 2023. Inflation will be running hot. Precious metals will be higher.
Comment by ErinBrockovich on Jul 09, 2022 7:54pm
Don't ignore the FED. He has an impossible task ahead. A self created inflation nightmare. They can't raise rates high enough to contain the monster. If they do the calamity inflicted would be similar to the Great Depression. That simply won't wash.
Comment by ErinBrockovich on Jul 05, 2022 3:31pm
Agreed. I smell an agenda. Quite possibly a short one.
Comment by ErinBrockovich on Jul 04, 2022 5:34pm
I'm not a novice either trader53. You mentioned repeatedly on this board, and on CEO, that financing was iminent. It was pointed out to you, here, and on CEO, that a 2 million dollar tax rebate was coming. I found it odd that you ignored the comments about the tax rebate and continued to talk about them raising cash very soon. Its likeley that they have enough cash on hand to raise later after ...more

I agree that the Fed is in a bind; Crush the economy or let inflation run.  The Fed has no control over the main drivers of inflation which are supply side issues: Covid, labor shortages, war in Ulraine, supply chain disruptions, government spending, climate change, Chinese lockdowns.  Something is going to break to precipitate the next financial crisis.  Reversing 35 years of Fed ...more
