Why is this stock still trading below $2.60 when there is a tender for $2.60 ?

I think the only way this stock can move up is for WND.board to release information

on the sale progress and at least what year it will be sold..

Mlpowell, WND is basically saying the auction process is not going well so long as BEP is involved. So the pace of sale is being set by BEP and WND has to deal with them. Either BEP bids enough to win it all or they withdraw and the auction process can continue unabated. The bottom line is I wouldn't expect anything from the auction  process until BEP is done. Nope...spin out of Yabucoa and extra 100MW deal to another buyer. No more WND, remember? We are promised a sale. Everything. Brookfield could stop fooling around and take this for $3 (which I'd guess the WND Board would accept) and then BEP could sell Puerto Rican assets, after financial close, and reduce their buyout costs significantly. That would allow them to get a cheap price for WND, but ...more

Thanks for the kind words, BR. WND has indicated, in public, that there are companies interested in the solar assets doing DD. And obviously WND believes that the latest deal to get an option on 100MW in PR adds to the value. While the value (absolute and relative to Yab or the whole company) is not something shareholders can calculate, those in the bidding process can estimate the value to ...more
