If......you were shopping for a Wi-Fi7 platform
If you were presently a CEO, or CTO of any existing private or public company whose products or services were reliant on wi-fi, what would be your shopping strategy as per future Wi-Fi7 platforms? Is it safe to assume that it would be primarily based on your predetermined requirements and needs, including those of your customers? OK, then let`s start with major service providers. Who here is confident to speak on their behalf both singularly and collectively, to tell us exactly what features of a Wi-Fi7 platform they require to satisfy their expected present and future needs in both residential and enterprise applications.
OK, who knows exactly how many of these serviceproviders, if any, displayed the initiative to be formally introduced to LG`s POC and pilot? If you can answer that, then tell us what was their individual assessments? Similar to LG`s, or totally different? Personally, I would be surprised if anyone here even had the audacity to say they were qualied to even provide an educated guess.
However, "que sara, sara," and that in itself should be exciting. Why? Because even if only 1 major service provider adopted YFI`s Wi-Fi7 platform, it would constitute a classic "one vs one wi-fi technolog" scenario in the marketplace. Spectrum Slicing vs Legacy single channel.
Now, it is possible that the introduction of spectrum slicing could be a non event and fall flat, or it could display similar comparative performance results like those proven in the pilot. However, how many CEO`s and CTO`s are prepared to bet the house on the latter? Especially knowing that the marketing depts of anyone employing spectrum slicing would should any victory down the throats of their competition.
Hence, it is my guess that if we are to see spectrum slicing technology employed for specifically Wi-Fi7, most major service providers will hedge their bets by doing so in at least some high density scenarios, with the intent of diffusing down.
But then again as Proceeds states: What do I know?

In reply , I know that if a big tech co even has a hint of interest , they do some DD on the company proposing such marvellous advancements , then they quickly find out about the HALTS , the 20 year old patents and zilch in sales , have a big chuckle and move on.
