Huge volume spike this morning

Over 300,000 shares traded so far today. In the 5 years I've been a shareholder a volume spike like this in the absence of news usually means insider buying. Maybe buying ahead of blowout earnings?

I'm pretty sure they are in a blackout period. 3-4 weeks to results as per the CFO. However, it seems that there was a little birdie leaking info prior to Q3, based on the spike that occured a week prior to release.
