Victoria's Eagle Gold Mine poured its first gold in September 2019 and declared commercial production at the end of Q2 2020 Future and current mines like Eagle Gold will be a strong contributor to the Yukon and its citizens for many years to come wwwvgcxcom Victoria is looking to hire the position outlined below for our Eagle Gold Mine located in Yukon PROCESS OPERATOR LABOURER Under the direct supervision of the Process Shift Supervisor the candidate will lay out Heap Leach distribution systems perform cleanup around the Process facilities operate support equipment and learn the other process operations systems This position will be based at the Eagle Gold Mine-site working a rotational schedule of 12 hours on a daynight shift schedule Responsibilities will include but are not limited to Main Tasks and Responsibilities Lifting and carrying equipment and materials up to 23 Kilograms frequently throughout the work day Checking circuitsconveyors to recognize rectify and report problems to their immediate supervisor Operate small equipment such as skid steers small wheel loaders articulating rock trucks dozers and excavators A combination of operating equipment as well as labour tasks will be expected of the candidate Compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to safety environmental confidentiality and code of conduct Follow operating procedures and compliance with all regulatory requirements Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by management Consistently exercise discretion and judgment in job performance Work without risk or harm to self and others Be alert and observe correct and report unsafe conditions Help develop other department personnel to perform duties listed above Train new employees on safe use and operations of equipment while following procedures and Perform other related functions as assigned by supervisor Qualifications and Experience Must pass pre-employment medical pre-employment substance abuse test criminal records check and provide a drivers abstract Ability to walk up down and over rough terrain as well as climb stairways catwalks liner and pads Ability to shovel clean up material Ability to work at heights over 25 meters Ability to work in adverse weather conditions Accurate and legible paperwork is a must as well good communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently or with a group Previous experience operating equipment is an asset Experience fusing pipe or working with HDPE pipe is an asset Must be able to operator handpower tools and Must have a valid Drivers license Victoria Gold Corp offers a competitive compensation and benefits package If you are excited about this opportunity and feel you meet the expectations of the role please send us your resume with the email subject headline Process Operations Operator Labourer to the following email address greatpeopleworkvgcxcom BTW, many other positions for the Eagle Gold Mine have recently been posted.
