Everything stated so far
I believe is for one purpose only and that is to put pressure on all parties to come together and solve this mess. If this doesn't happen then everybody will lose and the taxpayers will ultimately be responsible for all remediation costs and the government definitely does not want that to happen again. What I think we could see happen is a partnership with the backing of local government whereas First Nations would have a financial interest in the mine going forward that would allow them to hire their own experts and have full oversight and participation in all future decision making. This type of solution would be a win-win for all parties concerned including shareholders.

Well, historically that is NOT what happens in the Yukon. And out of money is out of money. And it sure doesn't sound like the 1st Nation is on side. AND the kind of deal needed to make this all go away is just not gonna happen.

Yes well said. :) Not sure of pressure but if it makes all parties work together, great. :) I beleive First Nations are and should be involved. Chief Dawna Hope of the First Nation of Nacho Nyak Dun is well qualified. Best
