The address will provide an update on our ongoing advocacy to have predatory short selling stopped in Canadian capital markets. We started this campaign a little over two years ago and we have made progress. Unfortunately, we have yet to have enacted structural legislative change to deal with this problem, but there is reason to believe we may be close to achieving this goal.
No doubt many of you have watched and are watching the r/WallStreetBets movement on GME and other securities with avid interest. They certainly have raised awareness about this issue to unprecedented levels. Making governments around North America fully aware of the problem, and perhaps for the first time in a long time, positioning them to do something about this problem.
We will be speaking to this issue and other less well-known but important ones as we continue to expose this problem and press for a lasting solution.
