RE:YieldApparently, Yancoal is a Master Limited Partnership (MLP).
There are wierd tax consequences along with complicated paperwork involved.
This is really a play for wealthy investors that employ sophisticated tax professionals. That leaves me out.
It does seem to be the real deal however.
Even tax sheltered intruments like IRA's can't escape the tax man on this type of investment unless the income from dividends remains below one thousand dollars per year.
eg. about $70/mo on a three thousand dollar position.
If one is not concerned about a little risk and has big bucks, this seems like a no brainer when it comes to an income stream.
