Ballard Power Systems (TSX:BLD, StockForum), a Vancouver-based firm engaged in the design, development, manufacture, sale and service of fuel cell products for a variety of applications, announced today that Ballard CFO, Tony Guglielmin, was to present during the Sidoti & Company Micro Cap Conference scheduled to take place at the Grand Hyatt in New York, NY this coming Monday at 10:40 am ET.

The bi-annual conference, first put on in 2010 by Sidoti & Company, is a place where micro cap entities can show their wares to a large gathering of educated investors, thus bridging the financing “gap” most sub-$250 million entities experience as they try to reach out to institutional investors.

According to the news release, Mr Guglielmin will illustrate Ballard's future and the strategies the company intends to employ in order to achieve these business milestones in a surging fuel cell sector.

Guglielmin will also provide business and financial updates to interested investors. Institutional investors are also invited to attend and are asked to contact the conference to schedule a meeting.

Ballard was in the news recently when the company appointed Wojtek Nowak as the Managing Director of Canada.

Shares shot up 37.76% on the news to $2.70 per share.

Currently there are 109.3m outstanding shares with a market cap of $295.2 million.
