Canada’s main stock index moved lower on Monday, falling under the weight of sagging energy stocks after oil prices tumbled on concerns over demand from major consumer China. The industrials, utilities, and tech sectors moved higher.

Major US stock indexes closed higher as oil prices fell and investors awaited more updates on Ukraine-Russia peace talks in Istanbul, and after the company said it would seek investor approval for a stock split, Tesla shares rose more than 8%.
