Telesta Therapeutics Inc. (TSX: T.TST, Stock Forum) rose 12% to 34.5 cents Tuesday after the company said it has submitted a biologics license application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its bladder cancer treatment MCNA.

MCNA is Telesta’s novel biologic immunotherapeutic for the treatment of high-risk non-muscle invasive bladder cancer patients who have failed first-line BCG therapy, the company said in a press release. Telesta also said it has received a waiver exempting Telesta from the payment of the US$2.3 million BLA application fee.

Laurion Mineral Exploration Inc. (TSX: V.LME, Stock Forum) soared 33% to 2 cents. Trading in the stock resumed Tuesday morning following news that a Dallas, Texas oil and gas private equity group has agreed to make a $6 million strategic investment in Laurion.

The private equity group is making the investment by way of a non-brokered private placement of common shares in three tranches. The first is a subscription of $1 million for 20 million common shares at $0.05 per share. The second is a subscription of $2.5 million for 50 million shares at $0.05. The third is a subscription of $2.5 million for 48.3 million shares at $0.052 per share, the company said in a press release.

The principal terms of the private placement provide the private equity group with the right to subscribe for 118.3 million common shares of Laurion, representing 51% of the shares outstanding.

Rodinia Lithium Inc. (TSX: V.RM, Stock Forum) was also up 33% to 2 cents after the Argentina-focused company said it had completed a debt for shares settlement with various creditors.

As previously announced, the company has issued 33.7 million shares of Rodinia at $0.05 a share, the company said in a press release.
