TORONTO (SHfn) – Metals Creek Resources (TSX: V.MEK, Stock Forum) shares jumped 35% to 11.5 cents on volume of more than 12.6 million shares Wednesday after the micro cap miner reported final assay results from its 2011 diamond drill program on the Ogden Gold Project in Timmins, Ontario, which included 1.92 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 94.0 meters between a down hole depth of 78 metres and 172 metres.

As well, shares of DiagnoCure (TSX: T.CUR, Stock Forum) gained 39% to 99 cents as the life sciences company that develops and commercializes cancer diagnostic tests announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved Gen-Probe's (NASDAQ: GPRO, Stock Forum) PROGENSA PCA3 (Prostate Cancer Antigen 3) assay, the first molecular test to help determine the need for repeat prostate biopsies in men who have had a previous negative biopsy. DiagnoCure has a strategic alliance with Gen-Probe for the development and commercialization of a prostate cancer test using PCA3, DiagnoCure's proprietary molecular biomarker.

Abcourt Mines (TSX: V.ABI, Stock Forum), meanwhile, said hole AB11-67 on section 5040 E, in the western part of the Abcourt-Barvue ore body in Quebec has intersected a silver zone, which included 1,386.16 g/t silver and 5.57% zinc over 4.7 meters. Abcourt Mines stock popped 19% to 12.5 cents on more than 3.5 million shares traded.

And, Golden Touch Resources (TSX: V.GOT, Stock Forum) late Tuesday reported that nine new outcrops of anomalous gold mineralization with grades up to 4.07 g/t gold have been located through a program of geological mapping recently undertaken along geophysical grid lines within the Rubik Gold Project area in Albania. Golden Touch shares added as much as 25% at 12.5 cents on Wednesday.
