(TSX: T.KGN, Stock Forum) said they entered into a definitive agreement to combine their respective businesses and to create a leading West African gold development company. The combined company will continue under the name Asanko Gold Inc.
Bombardier Inc. (TSX: T.BBD.B, Stock Forum) was the second most active stock on the TSX. It fell 1.2% and was trading at $3.29 on volume of 3.5 million shares. On Nov. 30, the transportation manufacturer said Public Transport Victoria, in Australia, ordered 40 additional Diesel Multiple Unit railcars in a deal valued at $206 million.
PetroFrontier Corp. (TSX: V.PFC, Stock Forum) was the volume leader on the TSX Venture Exchange. It plummeted 68.9% and was trading at $0.095 on volume of 12.4 million. On Dec. 4, the international oil and gas company reported that after 20 days of testing, the Owen-3H well, in Australia, recovered no hydrocarbons and as a result the test was stopped.
The second most active stock on the TSX Venture was TransGaming Inc. (TSX: V.TNG, Stock Forum). It soared 27.3% and was trading at $0.07 after 3.1 million shares changed hands. The video game developer launched a major upgrade to GameTree™ TV that shifts the socially-focused experience to a subscription-only business model.
