Stockhouse Canadian Small and Micro-cap Stock Report for Thursday, March 14, 2013 TORONTO (SHfn) – Ashburton Ventures Inc. (TSX: V.ABR, Stock Forum) jumped 22% to 0.055 cents on Thursday after the exploration company said it had acquired two prospective uranium properties located in Saskatchewan in the Alpha Minerals Inc. (TSX: V.AMW, Stock Forum) and Fission Energy Corp. (TSX: V.FIS, Stock Forum) Patterson Lake South discovery area.On March 11, exploration on the Patterson Lake South Uranium discovery intercepted 11.5 metres of continuous off-scale radioactivity (greater than 9,999 counts per second). To purchase 100% of these claims Ashburton will issue 1.5 million shares of the company and pay $10,000 upon signing.

Sulliden Gold Corp. (TSX: T.SUE, Stock Forum) was unchanged at 79 cents after seven hundred thousand shares changed hands. The stock is reacting to news that the company had successfully held and completed the final public audience as part of the Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) process. The completion of this public meeting marks the last required step prior to the ESIA approval for its Shahuindo project in Peru.

Stornoway Diamond Corp. (TSX: T.SWY, Stock Forum) climbed 1.5% to 69 cents after the company said it had entered into option agreements with 0954506 B.C. Ltd., a private company controlled by a former director of Stornoway, relating to Stornoway's interest in three diamond exploration projects.Under the terms of the option agreements, B.C. Ltd. will acquire an 80% interest in each of the Qilalugaq, Pikoo and Timiskaming projects, located in Nunavut, Saskatchewan and Ontario respectively, upon completion of a defined exploration program specific to each project.

Mineral Mountain Resources Ltd. (TSX: V.MMV, Stock Forum) was unchanged at 20 cents after the company announced assays from part of the 2013 Phase II drilling program at its Holy Terror project in South Dakota, USA. The Phase II drilling program was focused solely at the Bismarck Mine and designed to both confirm and expand the known high grade, shallow gold mineralization. The highlight of the results was 3.93 metres grading 10.36 grams per tonne gold.
