Roxgold (TSX: V.ROG, Stock Forum) Wednesday announced results from the recently completed infill drilling program on the 55 Zone at its 100% owned Yaramoko permit in Burkina Faso, this according to a company news release.

Highlights included 23.3 grams per tonne gold over 6.7 meters.

"We have demonstrated that not only does the 55 Zone appear to be consistently mineralized down to 900 meters vertical depth, but that we can consistently intersect high grade results over significant widths. We are also very encouraged that some of the best results are near the bottom of the currently drilled off mineralized envelope and that the zone remains open to expansion along strike (below 500 meters vertical depth) to both the east and west as well as down dip," said Roxgold President and CEO John Dorward.
