AMY’s Li-ion Recycling Project Continues Positively

American Manganese Inc. (TSX: V.AMY, OTCQB: AMYZF, Forum) gave an update on Wednesday on its US Department of Energy partnership, where they are focusing on maximizing the value recovery from lithium-ion battery stacks, modules and cells by reuse, remanufacturing, and materials recovery. The Company reported that it received cathode and anode materials from successfully disassembled electric vehicle battery packs and will treat it with its patented RecycLiCo process.

AMY recently achieved 99.88% purity in its production of NMC cathode material using the RecycLiCo process. It enhances material recovery and purity, which is essential to ensure a sustainable supply of highly efficient cathode materials for lithium-ion battery manufacturing.
