On Tuesday,
Avant Brands Inc (TSX: AVNT, OTCQX: AVTBF, Forum) announced that it had been added to the
Global X Cannabis ETF (NASDAQ: POTX, Forum).

In
a media release, the company’s founder and Chief Executive Officer, Norton Singhavon explained that the recent efforts they made to rebrand while graduating to both the Toronto Stock Exchange and OTCQX meant that they were bound to gain more institutional exposure.
“Our inclusion in the Global X Cannabis ETF will provide us with the opportunity to continue expanding our exposure to investors and institutions across North America and globally.”
The Kelowna, BC-based cannabis brand house also made news earlier this week when its joint venture,
3PL Ventures, was awarded Health Canada licenses.
The licenses include Standard Cultivation, Standard Processing, and Medical Sales, in line with Health Canada's Cannabis Act and Regulations,
Located roughly 50 km away in Vernon, the 60,000 square foot facility is Avant Brand’s largest cultivation facility in its group of companies. It will also add an extra 50 rare and unique cultivars that are not currently available in Canada's legal market.
The joint venture is expected to help increase demand for Avant’s recreational brands - BLK MKT, Tenzo and Cognoscente, while also supporting the growth of the GreenTec medical portal.
