Xebra Brands Ltd. (CSE: XBRA, Forum) announced on Wednesday that it had successfully cultivated and harvested its first cannabis crop in the Netherlands.
Samples of the crop were collected by the Dutch government's Bureau of Medicinal Cannabis taken on Friday, March 25th. The crop consisted of high THC ±22% cannabis flower, and flower with balanced THC ±6% and CBD± 8%.
The company’s President, Rodrigo Gallardo said in
a media release on this news that his team has demonstrated operational excellence, with the delivery of this first trial crop on budget and on time.
“We are extremely optimistic and confident as we now enter into the next phase of the cannabis cultivation pilot trial.”
Xebra is working to be awarded a license, which would provide government-guaranteed revenues of a minimum of around $80 million (USD), to supply all pharma-grade cannabis to be sold though pharmacies in the Netherlands. The company was just one of only five producers selected by the Dutch government to participate in the medicinal cannabis cultivation pilot trial.
