New Found Gold (TSXV:NFG) has appointed Keith Boyle as its new chief executive officer following the resignation of Collin Kettell, who will remain with the company as a director.

Boyle served as chief operating officer at Reunion Gold’s Oko West project in Guyana until G Mining Ventures’ $870 million acquisition in July 2024.

At the time of writing on Tuesday, the price of gold sat at US$2,758.70 per ounce, up from US$2,706.70 in our Jan. 15 update, according to data from The Globe and Mail.

Lion One Metals (TSXV:LIO) achieved record quarterly gold sales and production in Q4 from its Tuvatu mine in Fiji.

Juggernaut Exploration (TSXV:JUGR) reported a strong new discovery on its Big One property, with assays up to 79.01 grams per ton of gold and 3,157.89 grams per ton of silver.

In December, Hudbay Minerals (TSX:HBM) surpassed one million ounces of gold produced at its Lalor mine in Snow Lake, Manitoba.
