Finish Line Youth Foundation Raised More Than $1.45 Million During Its Annual Holiday Drive
The Finish Line Youth Foundation raised more than $1.45 million during
its annual Holiday Drive in 650 Finish Line stores across the U.S. and
online at finishline.com.
Finish Line customers were encouraged to “Add Cheer to the List” during
this year’s campaign which benefitted Special Olympics, Finish Line’s
national signature charity, among other organizations.
“Every dollar raised during the Holiday Drive will make an impact on the
lives of kids across the nation,” said Marty Posch, executive director
of the Finish Line Youth Foundation. “The gracious giving of Finish Line
customers who contributed to the holiday drive while making their own
holiday purchases will provide wonderful opportunities for these youth
throughout the year.”
Funding from the Youth Foundation will benefit Special Olympics
activities nationwide, including Special Olympics TRAIN (Testing
Recreational Activities and Improving Nutrition), a new sport and
nutrition assessment tool for athletes and their families.
Donations from the 2012 Holiday Drive will also help fund programs for
community-based youth athletic programs as well as camps and other
organizations that provide services to individuals who are disadvantaged
or disabled.
