MONTREAL, QUÉBEC--(Marketwire - Feb. 4, 2013) - Cogeco Cable Inc. (TSX:CCA) ("COGECO") today announced the ramp up of upload and download speeds and monthly transfer capacity for most of its High Speed Internet (HSI) residential customers in Quebec. Subscribers to Express 5, Express 10, Turbo 14, Turbo 20 and Ultimate 60 high speed internet packages will be able to benefit from the upgrade. The upgrades to the respective packages have been rolled out seamlessly since February 1, at no additional cost or conditions.
The Express 5 package upgrade includes an additional 2 Mbps in download speed; an additional 900 Kbps in upload speed; and an additional monthly transfer capacity of 5 GB. For the same regular price, subscribers now benefit from speeds of up to 5 Mbps for downloads and up to 1.5 Mbps for uploads with monthly data transfer capacity of 25 GB.
The Express 10 package upgrade includes an additional 3 Mbps in download speed and an additional 700 Kbps in upload speed. For the same regular price, subscribers now benefit from speeds of up to 10 Mbps for downloads and up to 1.5 Mbps for uploads with monthly data transfer capacity of 60 GB.
The Turbo 14 package upgrade includes an additional 1 Mbps in upload speed. For the same regular price, subscribers now benefit from speeds of up to 14 Mbps for downloads and up to 2 Mbps for uploads with monthly data transfer capacity of 80 GB.
The Turbo 20 package upgrade includes an additional 0.5 Mbps in upload speed. For the same regular price, subscribers now benefit from speeds of up to 20 Mbps for downloads and up to 2 Mbps for uploads with monthly data transfer capacity of 100 GB.
The Ultimate 60 High Speed Internet package upgrade includes an additional monthly transfer capacity of 50 GB. For the same regular price, subscribers now benefit from speeds of up to 60 Mbps for downloads and up to 2 Mbps for uploads with monthly data transfer capacity of 300 GB.
