TORONTO, May 1, 2013 /CNW/ - Xceed Mortgage Corporation (TSX: XMC) ("Xceed" or the "Company")) today announced that it has filed on SEDAR its Management Proxy Circular for its upcoming Annual & Special Meeting of Shareholders. The Annual & Special Meeting of Shareholders is scheduled for 2pm on May 30, 2013 at The Fairmont Royal York, New Brunswick Room, 100 Front Street West, Toronto, Ontario, M5J 1E3.

In addition to its regular annual business, shareholders will be asked to approve the Plan of Arrangement involving the acquisition of Xceed by MCAN Mortgage Corporation (TSX:MKP), as previously announced on March 26, 2013.

On May 3, 2013, the circular and related proxy materials will be mailed to Xceed shareholders who were registered on record as at April 30, 2013. Included in this circular and also available on SEDAR is an amended and restated arrangement agreement dated April 23, 2013 entered into between Xceed and MCAN Mortgage Corporation.
