Putting forth the concept, the road to business agility goes though IT, and tackling the question, “What does the software defined network mean for the future of IT service delivery?,” Mr. Koushik will share his views on why today’s IT organizations struggle to be agile, and then, using NTT’s leadership in SDN as an example, he will speak to NTT I3’s unique approach to enabling agility for enterprises. Supported by Dr. Sriram Natarajan, senior researcher at NTT I3, Mr. Koushik will share how NTT is facilitating business agility through the company’s pioneering use of SDN, market-leading global private and public cloud offerings, and focus on building a more flexible and adaptable infrastructure for enterprise clients. During his presentation, Mr. Koushik will reveal the key customer centric solutions within the areas of security, cloud computing and SDN that NTT I3 will focus on during the next 12 to 18 months.

Backed by the financial strength of NTT and building on NTT’s world renowned R&D heritage, NTT I3 strives to set a new global standard of agility, quality and value creation in pursuit of open service innovation. NTT’s researchers have invested considerable resources in developing a leading position on next generation data center technology and service models through contributions to working groups and standards bodies, developing early stage solutions and providing thought leadership positions. NTT I3’s position that the next generation data center will be software defined and more responsive to business demands will be illustrated through Mr. Koushik’s presentation.

The Datacenter Dynamics Converged San Francisco speaking engagement is Mr. Koushik’s first as CEO following the official opening reception for NTT I3 on May 29, 2013 at the Four Seasons Hotel San Francisco. The event was attended by a veritable who’s-who of some of the biggest names in the technology industry, including founders, presidents, and CEOs from Cisco, Salesforce, Juniper, Symantec, Trend Micro, and NTT Group, among others. Cisco Chairman and CEO John Chambers delivered a video welcome address and Salesforce Chairman and CEO Mark Benioff also offered his congratulations via video. Cisco President and Chief Operating Officer Gary Moore, and Salesforce Co-founder Parker Harris, took to the stage and discussed their respective company’s excitement in collaborating with NTT I3 on world-class innovations. With leading partners NTT I3 will demonstrate the value and effectiveness of the solutions and capabilities of NTT operating companies to customers in the global marketplace.
