(NYSE:MANU) Manchester United Football Club will for the first time be
airing a pre-season friendly match via a pay-per-view service available
on any internet enabled device.
In addition to traditional broadcasting methods, the Club is for the
first time offering most of its 659 million global followers the
opportunity to view live coverage of their favourite team on multiple
devices via the manutd.com website. Whether they are at work, at home or
on the move, fans will be able to watch the team take on AIK Stockholm
on 6th August in the last game of the pre-season Tour 2013, Presented by
Aon, via their TV, mobile, tablet, desktop or any other internet
accessible device. The Club’s website will be the only place in the
world where fans can see this match live online.
Fans wishing to subscribe to the game must register their details and
pay a one off fee of £5.95 (converted to EUR in all euro area
territories and USD in all other territories where the game is
available). Fans who sign up early, between 13:00 UK time on Monday 29th
July and midnight on Sunday night 4th August, will benefit from a 25%
discount on the one-off subscription price.
