HALIFAX, Oct. 8, 2013 /CNW/ - Jazz Aviation LP ("Jazz") today announced
the appointment of Kal Rebin to Vice President, Maintenance and
Engineering effective immediately. In his new role, based in Toronto,
he will have responsibility for the overall management and direction of
Jazz's maintenance and engineering division.

Jazz. "His proven leadership abilities along with his extensive
experience and knowledge of the Bombardier products in our fleet will
be invaluable to our team in further advancing Jazz's competitive
position."
Kal Rebin previously held the position of Director, Line Maintenance and
Engineering at Jazz, and has been instrumental in successful
negotiations related to commercial, labour and supplier agreements. Kal
has more than 29 years of related experience in the airline industry.
He began his career with Jazz in 1988 at Air Ontario, a predecessor
airline, as an aircraft engineer and has held numerous leadership
positions in line maintenance, engineering, heavy maintenance,
maintenance planning and operations control.
Kal holds a bachelor's degree in Social Science from the University of
Western Ontario and an Aircraft Engineering Diploma from Centennial
College. He has a Black Belt designation in Six Sigma (a business
process improvement philosophy) and holds a private pilot license.
Kal will replace Richard Steer who has resigned from Jazz to pursue
other career opportunities. "We thank Richard for his service and
contributions to Jazz over the past eight years, and wish him the best
